ABOUT THE EDITORS
Wolfgang F. E. Preiser, Ph.D. is a Professor of Architecture at the University of Cincinnati, and a consultant in building performance evaluation. He is published widely, with 12 books on topics ranging from post-occupancy evolution to facility programming and design research in general. He has lectured worldwide and won numerous awards and honors, including the Fulbright Fellowship, Progressive Architecture Annual Award for Applied Research, Rieveschl Award for Scholarly and Creative Works at the University of Cincinnati, EDRA Career Achievement Award, and others.
Elaine Ostroff, Ed. M. is the Founding Director of the Adaptive Environments Center and an international consultant on universal design education. Director of the Global Universal Design Education Project and the Access to Design Professions Project, she lectures on universal design worldwide, and has authored numerous publications on universal design, as well as the ADA. She has been honored by EDRA, Brandeis University, the Council for Exceptional Children, the ADA National Technical Assistance Network, and the Radcliffe Institute.
