"Gender and Fisheries: Within Livelihoods, Towards Sustainability" "Zoos, Social Scientists and Caring for the Environment" "Sense of Place and Quality of Life: Linking Quantitative and Qualitative Evaluation" "Health Effects of Environmental Impacts of Mobility: Air Pollution; Noise; Sedentarism" The SHE XII Conference will consist of both Paper and Poster Sessions. Deadlines: To submit paper abstracts and Posters: November 15, 2003 For notification of participation in SHE XII: December 15, 2003 Submission Instructions: 1. Complete the following two documents and save them separately in an electronic word-processing format such as MS Word (if we cannot open your submitted materials for some reason, we will notify you and ask that you resend them):
SHE Membership Affiliation: 2004 Membership will be included in conference registration if the participant is not already a 2004 member of the Society. The Island of Cozumel: SHE XII is being held on the Island of Cozumel, considered one of the most important places for diving in the Caribbean. Cozumel is also one of the most important destinations in tourist cruises in the world. On the island you can find beaches, reefs, coastal lagoons, dunes, low lying forest, as well as important vestiges of the Mayan culture.
