Weather conditions in Salt Lake City for mid-October are considered ideal – average high around 60 degrees and lows into upper 30’s – the first significant snow that falls in the SLC valley usually occurs around first week of November – although you may see snow on the mountain tops at this time of the year. The fall colors have peaked in the mountains but the trees on the hillsides and around the “benches” that surround the hotel and garden area are “peaking” with red, orange and yellow leaf colors.
